Pinterest is a place where you can collect little snippets of interesting content from around the web and organize them. Higher education institutions are still trying to figure out how this fits into their social media portfolio, but the opportunities for those that get it right are potentially large. Pinterest has also been growing at a rapid clip recently. Another interesting aspect of it relative to other social media networks is that its audience is heavily skewed towards women. None of the other popular networks have this gender skew.
