TED-Ed comes from the creators of TED Talks as a means of turning any YouTube video into an interactive lesson. Choose a video and build discussion boards, multiple choice and open-ended quizzes, and links to additional resources. TED-Ed is a simple platform with few but straightforward features. Because TED-Ed lessons are bite-size pieces of content, they are perfect as individual training modules. You might consider using them in your student or professional staff training efforts. A lesson on writing learning outcomes? A lesson on policies and procedures? Check out the video below for how you might use the platform. Go to ed.ted.com to find out more.
This is a post from my ongoing effort every Wednesday to highlight apps, web services, and vendors that may be of interest to higher education and student affairs professionals. I do not work for these companies, nor do I always endorse them, per se, but am sharing them to highlight tools that others may find useful. Have an example to share? Tweet me.
