ACPA recently announced the keynote speakers for this year’s Residential Curriculum Institute (RCI) and I’m excited to be a part of what’s shaping up to be a great professional development opportunity. After attending the Institute for two years, I’m honored to be expanding my involvement by serving as a member of the presenting faculty. For those of you unfamiliar with RCI, I would highly encourage you to learn more about it and to consider attending. Although it is the Residential Curriculum Institute, professionals outside of residence life will still find it valuable. The model that is taught is one that is scalable and flexible enough to be applicable to an entire student affairs division (in fact, some institutions have already done this).
I’ve previously written on aspects of the Residential Curriculum Model and these blog posts are some of the biggest traffic drivers to my site. The number of institutions adopting this approach has expanded greatly in recent years and its clear that professionals are hungry for more.
So please consider joining us this October at the University of South Carolina. I’m positive you will find the experience worthwhile:
