This week’s tool is simple, but it does one thing very well. ClickToTweet is a website that allows you to generate links that, when clicked on by a user, present a pre-written tweet. In other words, if you want to promote something, and want the people tweeting your stuff to include a specific sample message or set of hashtags, this tool will generate links/buttons that will do just that. Click here for an example.
This could be incredibly useful if you want to try to get your word out in a specific way. Or, perhaps you want people to promote an action they did, such as “I just entered the University photo contests. Click here to enter, too.” Click to tweet doesn’t just generate these links, but it also allows you to track their analytics as well. Give it a try.
This is a post from my ongoing effort every Wednesday to highlight apps, web services, and vendors that may be of interest to higher education and student affairs professionals. I do not work for these companies, nor do I always endorse them, per se, but am sharing them to highlight tools that others may find useful. Have an example to share? Tweet me.
